Dr. Ragle

Dr. Christen Ragle graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and has proudly served pets and their families in North Carolina ever since. While she enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, including internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, her greatest professional passion is veterinary dentistry and oral surgery.

Committed to providing the highest level of dental care, Dr. Ragle has completed more than 100 hours of advanced continuing education focused exclusively on veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. She continues to pursue specialized training in the latest techniques, pain management, dental radiography, and oral surgery, ensuring her patients receive the most current, evidence-based care available.

Dr. Ragle believes that oral health is one of the most important and often overlooked aspects of a pet’s overall well-being. She is passionate about educating pet owners on the importance of dental care and enjoys helping pets live healthier, happier, and pain-free lives through preventive dentistry, advanced dental procedures, and treatment of complex oral disease. Whether performing a routine dental cleaning or a challenging oral surgery, she approaches every patient with precision, compassion, and individualized care.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Ragle enjoys traveling, spending time at the lake or beach, and cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes. At home, she loves life with her two gentle giants – Betsy, a Newfoundland, and Hattie, a Bernese Mountain Dog.

Dr. Francis

Dr. Brandy Francis earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical training at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She began her career in private practice in her hometown of Wintersville, Ohio, before relocating to North Carolina in 2023, where she joined the team at Creedmoor Road Animal Hospital. Dr. Francis has a special passion for veterinary dentistry, believing that a healthy mouth is the foundation of a healthy pet.

From routine dental cleanings and preventative oral care to diagnosing and treating painful dental disease, she is committed to helping pets live happier, healthier, and more comfortable lives. She enjoys educating pet owners on the importance of dental health and how it can improve both quality of life and longevity.

In addition to dentistry, Dr. Francis has a strong interest in senior pet care and preventative wellness, providing personalized care plans that help pets thrive through every stage of life. With more than five years of clinical experience, she is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based medicine while continually expanding her knowledge through the latest advancements in veterinary care.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Francis enjoys traveling with her husband, their two dogs, and their cat. She also loves staying active through Zumba and Beat Boxing fitness classes.

Dr. Jordan

With more than 40 years of veterinary experience, Dr. Timothy Jordan has dedicated his career to advancing the quality of veterinary medicine while improving the lives of pets and the families who love them. As the owner of multiple veterinary hospitals throughout North Carolina, he has built practices centered on compassionate care, innovation, and making advanced veterinary services more accessible to the communities they serve.

Dr. Jordan’s passion for surgery led him to pursue extensive training in orthopedic, soft tissue, and advanced dental procedures, and he has successfully performed more than 4,000 orthopedic surgeries throughout his career. Today, he is equally passionate about veterinary dentistry, recognizing that oral health is essential to a pet’s overall wellness, comfort, and longevity. He enjoys helping pets through preventive dental care, advanced oral surgery, and the treatment of complex dental disease, always striving to improve both quality of life and long-term health.

As the founder of Elevate Pet Dentistry, Dr. Jordan is committed to combining decades of clinical experience with the latest advancements in veterinary dentistry. He believes in educating pet owners, mentoring fellow veterinarians, and providing transparent, high-quality care that allows every family to make informed decisions about their pet’s health.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Jordan remains passionate about advancing veterinary medicine through innovation, education, and mentorship, continually working to expand access to exceptional surgical and dental care throughout North Carolina.

Dr. Haywood

Dr. Kathy Haywood’s passion for veterinary medicine began on her family’s farm, where she developed a lifelong love for caring for animals. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing for three years in Randolph County, Dr. Haywood found her professional home at Montgomery Animal Clinic, where she has been proudly serving pets and their families for more than 30 years.

Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for providing compassionate, individualized care and developing lasting relationships with generations of clients. Dr. Haywood has special interests in veterinary dentistry, surgery, and dermatology, with a strong belief that oral health plays a vital role in every pet’s overall wellness. She enjoys helping pets maintain healthy, pain-free smiles through preventive dental care, early detection of dental disease, and advanced treatment options that improve both comfort and quality of life.

Known for her gentle approach and dedication to excellence, Dr. Haywood is committed to providing high-quality veterinary medicine while educating pet owners and creating personalized care plans that help pets thrive throughout every stage of life.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Haywood enjoys traveling, staying active through fitness, and spending time with her family. She is especially proud of her daughter, Addie, who is pursuing graduate studies, and she shares her home with her beloved dog, Kona.

Dr. Norris

Dr. Daniel Norris was raised in Midland, North Carolina, and has dedicated his career to advancing the health and well-being of animals. He earned three Bachelor of Science degrees in Animal Science, Biology, and History, along with a Master of Animal Science from North Carolina State University before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2017.

After graduation, Dr. Norris began practicing mixed animal medicine, where he developed extensive experience in both medicine and surgery across a variety of species. Today, he has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, recognizing the critical role that oral health plays in a pet’s overall wellness. From preventative dental care and routine cleanings to diagnosing and treating dental disease, Dr. Norris is committed to helping pets live healthier, pain-free lives through comprehensive dental care.

In addition to dentistry, Dr. Norris enjoys providing high-quality medical and surgical care tailored to each patient, combining evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, client-focused approach.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Norris enjoys sharing his love of music as the Director of Fusion Percussion, where he teaches and mentors young musicians. He also enjoys traveling with his wife, Tara, and their two children, Rosalee and Oliver. An avid reader, he has a particular interest in presidential biographies and lifelong learning.

Dr. May

Growing up on her family’s farm in Kentucky, Dr. Connie May developed a deep appreciation for animals and the bond they share with their families. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2003 after completing her undergraduate studies at Morehead State University.

With more than two decades of experience, Dr. May is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients while providing personalized, compassionate care for every patient. She has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, believing that a healthy mouth is essential to a pet’s overall health, comfort, and quality of life. From preventive dental care and routine cleanings to diagnosing and treating dental disease, Dr. May enjoys helping pets live longer, healthier, and pain-free lives.

In addition to dentistry, Dr. May values working collaboratively with clients to develop individualized care plans that support each pet through every stage of life. She is committed to practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine while creating a welcoming, supportive experience for both pets and their families.

Outside the hospital, Dr. May enjoys spending time in her pollinator garden, raising Monarch caterpillars, birdwatching, growing fresh vegetables, and baking. She shares her home with Ms. Whiskers, her spirited tailless calico cat, who keeps life entertaining.

Pet Dentist Charlotte

Dr. Whitfield

Dr. Jessie Whitfield relocated to Mint Hill, North Carolina, from Florida in 2006 and has been passionate about animal health ever since. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada. She completed her clinical training at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Whitfield enjoys every aspect of small animal medicine, with special interests in veterinary dentistry, ultrasound, and general surgery. She believes that oral health is a cornerstone of a pet’s overall well-being and is passionate about helping pets live healthier, more comfortable lives through preventive dental care, early detection of dental disease, and advanced treatment when needed.

Known for her approachable and compassionate nature, Dr. Whitfield especially enjoys educating pet owners and helping them understand their pets’ health conditions so they can make informed decisions with confidence. She is committed to providing individualized, high-quality care while continually expanding her knowledge through the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Whitfield lives in Locust with her husband, Michael, and their beloved furry family, including four cats – Justice, Bella, Blink, and Tippy and their pit bull, Charlotte. Outside the hospital, she enjoys game nights with family and friends, cheering on the Charlotte Hornets, attending concerts, staying active through fitness, and relaxing with a good book.
